About the Physician

Dr. MacLean was born and raised in Ohio where she later attended University at John Carroll. She graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2017. After graduation, she obtained her doctorate from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in 2021. Dr. MacLean was a Cum Laude graduate from KSUCPM and received the Surgical Skills Award. She completed her surgical residency at Mercy Health Regional Medical Center in affiliation with Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Metro Health, Akron General, and Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center.

Dr. MacLean’s residency provided her with robust training in forefoot and rearfoot conditions, sports medicine, diabetic limb salvage and wound care, as well as extensive training in forefoot and rearfoot surgery including foot and ankle trauma, forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction, pediatric conditions, as well as Charcot reconstruction.  During her time in residency, she was an accepted presenter at ACFAS for research regarding pediatric subtalar joint arthrodesis as primary  coalition management, malignant transformation of chronic wounds, diabetic limb salvage, bone and joint infection management, as well as minimally invasive Achilles Tendon surgery. She is currently board certified with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine as well as board qualified with the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. MacLean decided to pursue medicine when she was given a second chance at life after developing a severe heart condition in high school. After undergoing a successful surgery as a high school senior, she decided to do what her surgeon did for her and made it her goal to be a compassionate doctor for others as they navigate their health journeys, big and small. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, spending time with her family, friends, and of course her bulldog, Louie!
