Pulmonology

NOMS’ pulmonologists practice in a subspecialty of Internal Medicine, which focuses on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the lungs and respiratory tract.

NOMS pulmonologists treat a wide range of conditions including: lung diseases and conditions affecting the airways. Essentially, they are experts in all aspects and organs relating to the breathing function. They also specialize in neuromuscular diseases, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, and hypersomnia and insomnia.

These conditions and diseases include: asthma, allergies associated with asthma, bronchitis, bronchiectasis, COPD, emphysema, chronic cough and sinusitis.

 

Other Conditions

We also treat, sarcoidosis, pulmonary fibrosis, respiratory Failure, pulmonary embolism, pulmonary hypertension, cor pulmonale, pleural effusion, pneumothorax, neuromuscular diseases, chronic respiratory failure, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, hypersomnia, shift worker syndrome and insomnia.

 

 

Air Sac Conditions

These conditions and diseases include: pneumonia, TB, pulmonary edema, lung cancer, mesothelioma, pneumoconiosis (ex. Black lung disease) and asbestosis/silicosis.

We offer a variety of services for our patients including chest and sinus x-rays, bronchoscopys, EKG, spirometry, pulmonary function tests, peak flows (MIP, MEP, PEF), walking and nocturnal oximetry, sleep studies, ABG’s / alpha 1 testing, vaccinations and testing, biospies and pre-op clearance.
